Meet Ciara Horton-Stevenson, an innovative magazine creator who has revolutionized the publication industry through a remarkable journey of creativity, determination, and passion. Blending words and images into vivid stories, Ciara has captivated readers worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the magazine landscape.

Born with an innate curiosity, Ciara discovered the magic of storytelling at a young age. Her father a writer would create stories at bedtime and peak her imagination with what would happen next. Her mother bought numerous books creating a mini bookworm. With a pencil in hand and a vivid imagination, she would compose short stories that transported her readers to far-off lands and unknown realms. This early creative spark laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion for crafting narratives.

As Ciara grew older, her love for the written word merged with a passion for visual storytelling. Recognizing the power of combining words with captivating images, she embarked on a mission to create her own magazine.  Its didn’t happen overnight but she had a vision of the words She Is while doing laundry. Armed with an unwavering belief in her vision, Ciara sought out women who were willing to tell their stories unapologetically. 

She released her first issue in Jan 2016. 

The journey as a magazine creator was not without its challenges. Ciara faced numerous obstacles, from securing funding to establishing a loyal readership. However, her unwavering determination fueled her perseverance, pushing her to overcome these hurdles and transform her dreams into reality.

Through her remarkable creations, Ciara began to make waves in the magazine industry. The magazine received critical acclaim, earning nominations for prestigious awards and gaining international recognition. Readers worldwide eagerly awaited each issue, drawn to the magazine's ability to transport them to uncharted territories while sparking conversations that mattered.

Not content with personal success, Ciara sought to empower aspiring magazine creators. She’s created a course and offers coaching, sharing her knowledge and expertise with budding talents. Ciara firmly believes in nurturing the next generation of storytellers, ensuring that the vibrant world of magazines would continue to flourish. A mother of two teenage girls, she wants to keep inspiring as many people as she can.
